Everybody is in the rush for shopping preparing everything the house, the gifts and the soul because Christmas is just a few days. Here we just got up from a great loss of our love one, well its still pain its just almost 2 months when he was gone, God bless his soul (silence). Still life must go on and just prepare for what is in store for us for the next year. We wrapped almost everything of the gifts for our relatives. At least we have prepared our home, a little bit of simple garlands and a tiny tree that we wish will be bigger next year. We bought food for the festivities coming, plus the birthday of my daughter shes 4. To some its hard to smile this Christmas, especially those who are flooded in Visayas and Mindanao, there is still reason to be jolly, because you are alive.
Christmas Last Year
Let’s go back a bit, well I don’t have blog post last year due to offline reasons, uninspired and just doing something else then I crash back here. It was a good year though it was steady and we are much closer to God. Which is something that we are proud of. We are not perfect attendance in every mass but I am sure we have done a good job praising Him last year. Last year even we don’t have a lot but we have enough and its light and its rewarding.
Christmas This Year
It was tough, really tough, but we have grown. As a family we have grown optimistic it was relieving that we look on the bright side of things. Every trial is an opportunity to be better, to be good, to be an inspiration to others. Though we are disappointed that in the end of the quarter for me we have lost our way to the Lord. We are a bit a conscious of what we have now and not on what the Lord had prepared for us, a much better life.
I am totally disagree with comparing because its all blessed by the grace of God, but this is just an evaluation to make it better next year, like my motto : If it is not written it’s not existed.
I just want to share a story of a pencil. This depicts a part of our life today.
The Pencil Maker took the pencil aside, just before putting him into the box.
“There are 5 things you need to know,” he told the pencil, “Before I send you out into the world. Always remember them and never forget, and you will become the best pencil you can be.”
“One: You will be able to do many great things, but only if you allow yourself to be held in Someone’s hand.”
“Two: You will experience a painful sharpening from time to time, but you’ll need it to become a better pencil.”
“Three: You will be able to correct any mistakes you might make.”
“Four: The most important part of you will always be what’s inside.”
“And Five: On every surface you are used on, you must leave your mark. No matter what the condition, you must continue to write.”
The pencil understood and promised to remember, and went into the box with purpose in its heart.
Now replacing the place of the pencil with you. Always remember them and never forget, and you will become the best person you can be.
One: You will be able to do many great things, but only if you allow yourself to be held in God’s hand. And allow other human beings to access you for the many gifts you possess.
Two: You will experience a painful sharpening from time to time, by going through various problems in life, but you’ll need it to become a stronger person.
Three: You will be able to correct any mistakes you might make.
Four: The most important part of you will always be what’s on the inside.
And Five: On every surface you walk through, you must leave your mark. No matter what the situation, you must continue to do your duties.
Allow this parable on the pencil to encourage you to know that you are a special person and only you can fulfill the purpose to which you were born to accomplish.
Never allow yourself to get discouraged and think that your life is insignificant and cannot make a change.
Merry Christmas everyone!
