The King is Back: The Black Panther

Black Panther

It will be just less than a week before we go on judge the most awaited Avenger, the Black Panther.

From the trailer you can see the majestic Wakanda. Well we did see it from The Avengers: Age of Ultron movie, but more on the urban side of the kingdom. Now we are like in Asgard. Evidently we can see the technological advancement of Wakanda and it’s rich culture and majesty.

What excites me here are the two different Black Panther suits. A gold one and a violet one seems like vibranium-powered suit? Perhaps, maybe let’s see if this is explained in the movie. The detail of the suit is so awesome that only bad-ass-kicking feline would only wear. Also a notable appearance again by Klaw, the vibranium-obsessed scientist is in the movie (again) but only with one arm. That we all know it was amputated by Ultron in Age of Ultron.

Fans has really high hopes from this film that the bad-ass kitty will not disappoint us. Ok, DC Universe, your move!

The date is May 3.

Corazon Ang Unang Aswang:Movie Review

Captain Britain
Movie

Our culture is filled with mystical beliefs and of course creatures. Aswang a famous creature from our culture, some say it’s true, some say it’s just a myth but the one fact that these aswangs live is through the constant reminder of our creative mind, remembering and talking about it. One of the ways these aswangs live is through the different movie made for them.

Corazon: Ang Unang Aswang is definitely a world class Filipino Movie. Though there are small flaws in some parts of the movie with regards of acting, the story itself is the selling point. Especially with Corazon, when she transformed into a psychotic mother who lost her child, I am sold with the make-up and the choreography of her taunts. It’s not so Japanese, it’s not so Thai kind of horror movie, we are just fed up with the looks of other horror movie abroad but it’s all Pinoy.

This is a very good year for the movie industry, just like I said more and more Filipinos go to the theatres to watch Pinoy movies. Especially in comedy, love stories (of course) and horror, we really do have an edge with other movie outfit. Filipinos can now choose from bad to good movie so you can’t fool them now.

Corazon: Ang Unang Aswang: 8 stars!
