After months of complete dormancy I was able to got out of my cave. So I started this Genesis thing last year and it was on and off development for me, but I was able to pull it off but with minimal design. Now I scrapped down the initial features of version 1 and tried to improved with version 2. Well you don’t develop softwares just degrade of course it has some enhancements.
The title of the post says it all, this is the start of version 2 of the Project Genesis. I just put up a simple logo just to initialize the development. Logos give you the feeling of what the project is about and should stand all through out the development.
I given it a simple design, with just shapes and chosen some few good fonts like Giraffey. The logo that I am aiming is to have a corporate feel to it, so I used shades of blue to it. I created a striking rounded rectangle with grey gradient to add up an accent to an “ascending” or laddered level just like in schools.
As I said on previous posts this is a comeback project and like from the beginning, it was Genesis.
I will be posting a lot of the development more often now again to document everything.
This will be the start of the version 2 and hoping for the next months I could pull off something large in terms of the development and also I will be using a more localized platform Dreamweaver 6 and TortoiseSVN/Subversion for versioning.
At last finally got some guts to design again in web. Well I am taking my time since I just got on board on my new team so I am not planning anything stupid yet. This is just testing my self if I still have it. I got a lot of things to do and a lot of things to learn and I need to organize this, have to do it right, this time. I am no longer a guerilla or a one hit wonder developer, this is what I am (or is it not?).
Somehow I got out of the design dormancy, hope I could get this going for a couple of months and maybe I could get additional projects on the side.
I am currently doing some design for my test case, which is a band website. I picked up in a random (or maybe spotify let me) topic so I decided to create a website for a band, perhaps, why not?
I am getting the hang of it. I just need to do this, I need to finish this. I need to be consistent for the first time, for the longest time.
For the glimpse of the work so far. I started in the logo.
To why it is called like that? Subscribe now and I will be posting next for the developments.
I am currently regaining my resources again to start a new online jobs again. Besides earning extra on the side, I am coming back to what I love most developing websites.
I already joined freelancer and start up pretty quickly. I got a few contests joined and hopefully my entry got picked. When I joined this site I am not expecting really since I haven’t tried the crowd here yet. So far in terms with the website I am still familiarizing the controls and they have a lot of options to earn.
There you have a per hour and fixed rate, they have contests and affiliate program. There are a lot of ways to earn here so I got interested to it immediately.
Pros: Easy to navigate though there are a lot of options to explore a lot of ways to view the jobs and contests enlisted still the website remained consistent to deliver content on contestants and contests handlers.
Cons :I am really bothered with verifying payment, It does not say that we are not paying you or you are not allowed to join any of our enlisted contests and jobs without that. I am not sure if I overlooked this information.
All in all it is really a fun site to start with your online jobs.
